Half Of Me is a personal project, born from moments of being lost, questioning what life is about and why we are here. What happens when you find yourself alone, and how do you survive? Loneliness offers time to rest and rethink the purpose of life. Growing up in Bangladesh, I was surrounded by the music of Lalon Shah. His songs reflect a philosophy rooted in the “sahajiya” tradition, emphasising the soul over the body and celebrating liberal humanism and individualism. While I’m not a singer, it feels like everyone in Bangladesh knows a few lines of Lalon’s work. The clouds that once hung heavy in the sky have cleared, though they might return at any moment. I’ve learned that when the moonlight touches the water in a pond, it creates an enigmatic reflection of humanity. This image serves as a reminder of our shared experiences and the depths we navigate, both in solitude and together. In this interplay of light and shadow, I find clarity and a sense of purpose, guiding me on my journey forward.

In the dim light of uncertainty, each day felt like a page unwritten, a story unfolding without a clear direction. A month stretched out like an untraveled road, each moment a new discovery, both thrilling and terrifying. With every sunrise, I faced the unknown, the haunting question of where my life would lead. Surrounded by shadows, I navigated a landscape of fading memories, each echo reminding me of what once was. Darkness became a companion, whispering secrets of loss and longing, transforming my daily existence into a metaphorical dance. Every heartbeat was a brushstroke on the canvas of my life, painting scenes of both despair and hope. I learned to embrace the transient nature of my surroundings, finding beauty in the fleeting moments that slipped through my fingers like grains of sand. In this strange terrain of confusion, I discovered that inspiration often thrives in the shadows. It was within the depths of uncertainty that I unearthed fragments of resilience, illuminating my path forward, guiding me through the darkness toward an uncharted future.
